Textbook Rental
Southeastern is the only university in the state of Louisiana where students rent their textbooks rather than buy them. Textbook Rental provides Southeastern students an economical alternative to purchasing textbooks. You can expect to save hundreds of dollars each semester on textbook costs alone!
The current rental fee for a course which has a rental book is $35 regardless of the number of textbooks required for a course. Some courses do require the purchase of supplemental workbooks or manuals which are sold by the Texas Book Company University Bookstore. Students interested in building a professional library do have the option of purchasing their rental textbooks.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER:
- Anyone can return your textbooks
- Your student ID is NOT required to return textbooks
- Store closes at 6:00PM during finals and the first business day following the last day of final exams
- Book Drop is available after hours and on weekends
- Dropped books are checked in the following business day

Books that are not included in the Textbook Rental System but must be purchased are available for purchase from the University Bookstore. These books can also be bought from other sources and students are free to purchase these books from any source they choose.

Any late book not returned by the 5th business day following the last day of final exams MUST BE PURCHASED at full retail price.
