Welcome to Southeastern Louisiana University, one of the south’s premier regional universities, where our focus is on student success, academic excellence, hands-on learning, and real world experience.
Since its founding in 1925, Southeastern has consistently offered an excellent educational value, offering a wide range of nationally accredited undergraduate and graduate programs that are highly relevant to workforce needs. It is this value and diversity of offerings that attract students from nearly every state and more than 50 foreign nations.
While Southeastern now ranks third in enrollment among Louisiana universities, we have consistently maintained a student-centered environment characteristic of much smaller institutions. Southeastern students enjoy a sense of belonging and are part of a network that includes a wide variety of extra-curricular activities. Likewise, they benefit from a faculty that truly enjoys interacting with students and providing opportunities to involve them in their research and creative activities.
