Dr. John Crain, President
Welcome to Southeastern!
It truly is a privilege to welcome you to our extraordinary university. When walking
our campus and talking to our faculty, staff and students, you would never guess Southeastern
is now Louisiana's third largest public university. We have successfully maintained
the comfort and familiarity of a small college, while at the same time we have grown
and prospered.
Our mission is to lead the educational, economic, and cultural development of southeast Louisiana. We bring this mission to life by focusing intensely on the success of our students and on service and outreach to the communities in our region. We will accept nothing less than the best - the best academic programs, the best student support services and the best outreach support for regional businesses and school systems.
It is an honor for me to serve in a leadership role for this exceptional institution, and along with the other members of the faculty and staff at Southeastern, I look forward to meeting the needs of our students and other constituents.
