Southeastern Emergency Alert System

Southeastern Emergency Alert System

Southeastern has installed a cell phone text messaging system through FirstCall, which allows brief emergency messages to be communicated at the rate of 6,000 messages per minute.  While all students, faculty and staff are already registered with the system through their Southeastern e-mail accounts, cell phone text messaging can only be sent to those who sign up – or “opt-in” – for the service.  Therefore, if you opt-in, you will receive emergency alerts, not just through your campus e-mail, but also on your cell phone.  Registering for the service is done through your LeoNet account using the instructions below.

Please be assured that other than occasional tests of the system, text messages will be sent only in true emergencies.  No notices about registration, sporting events or other campus happenings - only emergencies.
