To reserve boats efficiently and to improve safety by tracking boat locations,
we use Google calendar and a boat registration form. If you have any problems making your reservation, email Robert Moreau[rmoreau@selu.edu].
NOTE: You must complete the Turtle Cove Boating Safety course before you can reserve a boat.

How to reserve a boat on the calendar
First-Time Users: Create an Account & Add the Turtle Cove Calendar
The Turtle Cove boat reservations are managed with Google calendar.
If you have a Southeastern email address, you can choose how you access that email—through Eudora, MS Outlook, Webmail, or Southeastern gmail. If you have NEVER set up Southeastern gmail, you need to follow the 6 steps listed below to set up a Google calendar account. If you have set up Southeastern gmail, even if you don't use it now, you need to access the Turtle Cove calendar by logging in at http://webmail.g.selu.edu.
For People Using Southeastern Gmail
All students are automatically enrolled in Southeastern gmail. For faculty and staff, if you want to use Southeastern gmail, you can set up that account at http://gdata.selu.edu. Once your account is created, the Turtle Cove calendar is added automatically.
To log into your Southeastern gmail account and access the calendar, you'll go to http://webmail.g.selu.edu. The Calendar link is in the top-left corner of your window once you log in.
For people outside Southeastern, you'll need to set up a Google calendar account—which is free—to reserve a boat.
-
Log in to your email account. You should have an email from Turtle Cove inviting you to use Google calendar. If you don’t, contact Rob.
- Open the email from Turtle Cove, and click the long link. This link takes you to the Google calendar log in page.

-
On the thank-you page, click the Click here to continue link. You return to the Google sign-in page.

- Sign in to Google calendar using your email address and password. On the left-side of your calendar, you should see two calendars in different colors: your personal calendar and the Turtle Cove calendar [see right image].
- Now that you've set up your account, you can follow the steps in reserving a boat each time by logging into Google calendar [If you want to bookmark it, use http://calendar.google.com].
