Description of Organizations: Since its first meeting in 1881, AAUW has been a catalyst for change. AAUW is a chapter to a national Women's organization based on the purpose to unite undergraduates to promote issues of self-respect, self-esteem, and self-confidence and provide opportunities for intellectual growth and leadership development. Description of Organization: The purpose of this organization is to provide an environment for atheists, agnostics, humanists and other free thinkers to evaluate social, religious and political traditions using scientific inquiry and not supernatural explanations. We hope to educate our campus and community by organizing activities, such as forums for discussion, guest speakers, debates, and documentary screenings. We will demonstrate that morality can be meaningfully based on humanistic ideals, and we will be advocates for the separation of church and state.

Requirements for Membership: Students enrolled in the School of Nursing at Southeastern. Membership may be extended beyond completion of the student undergraduate program for a period not to exceed six months with the privilege of courtesy membership. A student who is a member of the National Student Nurses' Association, Inc. from another district or state may also be granted a courtesy membership. Courtesy membership consists of participation in association activities and attending meetings with voice but no vote.
