Overview of the Degree Program
The overall educational objective of the Supply Chain Management undergraduate degree program is to provide students with a conceptual foundation in Supply Chain Management and its disciplines of: Marketing, Operations Management and Information Systems. The multi-discipline program is intended to provide the skill bases necessary to build successful careers in industry or to succeed in graduate school.
Careers in the Program
A major in Supply Chain Management prepares students for careers in production and operations management, purchasing, transportation and logistics, information systems, and several other related areas. Some occupations may require advanced graduate or professional degrees. Concentrations and Curriculum Sheets

Faculty Teaching Awards and Research
• Supply Chain Management faculty are recognized for their pursuit of excellence in teaching and research. Dr. Michael Jones is the recent recipient of Southeastern Louisiana University's Presidential Award for Excellence in Teaching. Dr. Barb Schuldt has been awarded the Paul B. Candies Distinguished Professorship in Management for excellence in research.
• Department faculty maintain close ties with industry and employ present-day case tools to emphasize practical learning. Past projects include: a database management system for the Tangi Food Pantry and student research projects for Ragan & Massey Distribution.
