Association of Latin American Students at Southeastern
ALAS’ Mission is to enhance the appreciation of diversity and cross-cultural awareness, leadership, ethics and cohesiveness of all members as well as to build a better understanding between Latin American students and the local community. Dr. Baraya is the faculty advisor.
ALAS goals encompass:
- Assisting Latin American Students in their educational progress and adaptability within the university.
- Providing a permanent forum between Latin American students and the surrounding community to underscore the importance of intercultural and international relationships.
- Encouraging student’ competitiveness in order to
achieve outstanding results in the areas of leadership and ethics
among its members.
