The Educational Opportunity Center at Southeastern Louisiana University offers free educational services to first generation and/or low income students

The Educational Opportunity Center May Be Able to Help.
1. Are you 19 years of age or older?
2. Do you live in any of the following Parishes: East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Jefferson, Orleans, St. Helena, St. John the Baptist, Tangipahoa and Washington?
AND
3. Are you a first-generation student? ? Yes ? No
First-generation student- a student whose parents did not graduate from a 4 year college with a bachelor’s degree
4. Are you a low income student? ? Yes ? No
Example: If your family size (yourself and dependents) is 2 and your taxable income is less than $20,535, then you are considered low income and eligible for EOC services.

If you answered YES to Question #3 or #4 and you are 19 years of age or older, then you are eligible to receive EOC services. EOC will pay your application and testing fee. We can also assist you in applying for financial aid and completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
