About the College of Business
Our Mission Statement
The College of Business at Southeastern Louisiana University offers progressive undergraduate and graduate degree programs for a diverse student population. The college supports a teaching philosophy whereby faculty are committed to providing an environment that engenders high quality, value-added learning experiences, student achievement, and a firm foundation upon which successful careers may be built in a global business environment that is ever-changing. Through innovative student-centered activities, faculty create enthusiasm for business concepts, challenge students to apply and integrate business concepts, and provide opportunities for students to build critical thinking skills. Although our faculty primarily engage in scholarly activities that contribute to business practice and research, many faculty address learning and pedagogical methods through research, which enhances their professional growth and contributes to the use of best practices in the classroom. Through service to the college, university, and business community, faculty contribute in a variety of ways to the vibrance of the university and the economic health of the region.
