Beth Calloway receives fellowship to attend Holocaust education seminar - 7/2/08

English instructor Beth Calloway has received a fellowship to participate in the Memorial Library Summer Seminar on Holocaust Education in New York City July 7-19.


President Moffett to lead UL System - 6/25/08

Today (June 25) the Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana System selected Micheal "Randy" Moffett to become the next University of Louisiana System President.


Southeastern begins four-day work week, most offices closed on Fridays through August 8 - 6/24/08

To give faculty and staff a break on the rising cost of driving to work, Southeastern has implemented a four-day work week. As of June 23, campus academic and business offices are closed on Fridays, but are open an hour earlier and later Monday through Thursday.


'Miss Southeasterns' sweep Miss Louisiana honors -- Blair Abene wins crown - 6/23/08

The current and two former holders of the “Miss Southeastern” title swept the top honors at the Miss Louisiana pageant in Monroe June 21 with senior voice and mass communication major Blair Abene of Hammond winning the crown.


Southeastern biologist creates poster on 'Fishes of Lake Pontchartrain Basin' - 6/20/08

Through a grant from the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation, Southeastern biologist Kyle Piller has produced a poster that pictures 30 of the more than 100 documented species that exist in the Lake Pontchartrain Basin.


Charlotte Collins named director of Northshore School of the Arts - 6/19/08

Slidell native Charlotte Lowry Collins has been named the first full time director of Southeastern’s Northshore School of the Arts.
