My areas of interest include Volcanology and Paleoclimate studies.
My Master’s research focused on characterizing a volcanic
debris avalanche on the Sierra Las Navajas volcano in Hidalgo,
Mexico. This volcanic landslide is one of the largest in both
runout length and volume of material transported in the world.
Currently, I am working towards a doctorate degree at Tulane
University. My research is focused on changes in paleo-sea surface
temperatures and changes in paleosalinities in the Gulf of Mexico
during the Holocene. I compare changes in Mg/Ca ratios along with
changes in ? 18O in foraminifera tests as proxies for my
analysis.
