HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW? -- Charlie Hymel, left, of Ponchatoula directs a question about a plant model to Volker Stiller, associate professor of biological sciences at Southeastern Louisiana University at the annual Rock 'n Roar festival held Saturday (March 24) on the campus, as the rest of the family, Ryan, Gabriel, and little Callie, listen in. Conducted as part of the District Literary Rally, Rock 'n Roar this year attracted more than 2,900 area high school students to the rally and approximately 1,000 others from area communities.
