SCORE Northshore, LSBDC at Southeastern host simple steps seminar series

HAMMOND The Louisiana Small Business Development Center at Southeastern Louisiana University,
along with Louisiana PTAC Southeast and other partners, will host a program on writing
successful government proposals.
The class, “Developing a Winning Proposal,” is scheduled Thursday, February 23,
from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Southeast Louisiana Business Center, located at 1514 Martens
Drive in Hammond. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.
Sandy Summers, assistant director of the Southeastern Small Business Development
Center, said topics to be covered include understanding government procurement instruments;
effectively responding to request for government proposal; what today’s winning proposal
looks like; exchanges/communication with contracting officers; and best value to the
government.
Additional topics include how the government evaluates proposals; proposal conferences;
helpful hints regarding writing proposals, things to avoid in proposal writing; and
developing cost and pricing.
There is no cost to attend the event, but registration is preferred. For more
