Southeastern LSBDC to host seminar on Louisiana business incentives

     HAMMOND – The Louisiana Small Business Development Center (LSBDC) at Southeastern Louisiana University will offer a seminar on incentives for Louisiana businesses on Wednesday, April 11, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

     Co-sponsored by the St. Tammany Economic Development Foundation, the free seminar will be held at Southeastern's St. Tammany Center, located at21454 Koop Dr.in Mandeville.

     "Seminar attendees will learn about program rules and application processes for Enterprise Zone, Industrial Tax Exemption, Restoration Tax Abatement, Research and Development, Small Business Loan Guaranty, Technology Commercialization and quality jobs," said Sandy Summers, assistant director of theSoutheastern SBDC. "The class is open to small business owners, certified public accountants, bankers and potential business owners interested in learning how to take advantage of the state's financial incentives provided through Louisiana Economic Development."

     Summers said the event will also include time to help "de-mystify" the Enterprise Zone Employee Certification Reports (ECR) and Quality Jobs Annual Certification Reports (ACR).

     "Program managers will spend time with each attendee to answer questions and provide some clarity on these reports," she said. "Participants should bring their ECR and ACR to the clinic."
