Short URLs (Redirects)
Some units may find it useful to have a short URL (redirect)created for their Website in order to simplify their Web address for the purposes of publications on brochures, business cards, and other literature.
The form of a short URL is: http://www.selu.edu/keyword
As with any URL on the Southeastern Web site, the keyword may not contain spaces, uppercase lettering or special characters. An underscore ( _ ) may be used to identify a space in the keyword if necessary. Because keywords are case-sensitive, care should be exercised in their selection.
Requests for short URLs should be submitted to the Web CMS Coordinator via email ( web@selu.edu). Once your request is submitted your short URL will be created and notification will be sent to the person that requested it.
