HAMMOND -- Southeastern Louisiana University students can now register their vehicle information
online rather than having to register in person, in order to purchase parking permits.
That's well received information for most students.
"I am glad to see vehicle registration moving to an online process," said sophomore
Victoria McCarson of LaPlace. "This will make the process much faster and easier than
having to wait in a line and physically out a form."
According to the Parking Department, students will need to complete the vehicle
registration online prior to being issued a vehicle permit. This should be done prior
to setting foot on campus for registration purposes.
To register online, students should log onto their Leonet account, go to self-serve
and select vehicle registration. Select the appropriate term from the list, then select
the type of vehicle and insert the requested information. After submission, this will
add the parking fee onto students' Leonet account.
The Parking Department will issue permits in the fall semester at the University
Center until after the second day classes begin and then move to the Parking Office,
located in Pride Hall. During the spring and summer semesters, permits will be issued
at the Parking Office only.
Students who need to register an additional vehicle, request a replacement decal
or make a change, should review the parking rules and regulations at the University
Police Department web page at www.southeastern.edu/admin/police or call the Parking Office during business hours at 985-549-5695.
