HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University's College of Science and Technology recognized students for outstanding academic performance at the college's honors convocation held April 30.
Awards were presented to the following (listed by geographical area):
East Baton Rouge Parish
Robert Hudson, Zachary, Outstanding Senior Award in Industrial Technology Associate Degree program.
Jefferson Parish
Michael Jeandron, Metairie, Outstanding Graduating Senior Award in Physics.
Livingston Parish
Jesse Ardonne, Walker, Outstanding Graduating Senior Award in Engineering Technology; Jerry Milne Jr. of Livingston, Outstanding Graduating Senior Award in Mathematics; Charlene Pierce, Denham Springs, Outstanding Graduating Senior Award in Industrial Technology Bachelor's Degree Program.
St. Tammany Parish
Elyse Bond, Covington, Outstanding Graduating Senior Award in Computer Science; Clarissa Claybrook, Slidell, Outstanding Graduating Senior Award in Mathematics; Eric Miller, Mandeville, Outstanding Senior Award in Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment.
Tangipahoa Parish
Patrick Flowers, Ponchatoula, Outstanding Graduating Senior Award in Chemistry; and Dan Powell, Hammond, Outstanding Senior Award in Biological Sciences.
Calvin Fabre of Baton Rouge, founder and president of the software firm Envoc with locations in Hammond and Baton Rouge, was recognized as the college's 2012 Distinguished Alumnus. Fabre's company specializes in writing customized software specifically tailored for unique business needs. A 1990 Southeastern computer science graduate, he works closely with the university's computer science and business programs and is serving as chairman of Southeastern's Advisory Board for Engineering and Computer Science.

1) COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY HONORS (Alumnus of the Year) - Southeastern Louisiana University's College of Science and Technology honored its Distinguished Alumnus of the Year, Calvin Fabre, right, at the college's annual honors convocation April 30. Presenting the award is B.J. Lorio, past president of the Alumni Association. A 1990 graduate, Fabre is the founder of Envoc, a custom software development firm located in Hammond and Baton Rouge.
2) COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY HONORS (Baton Rouge) – Southeastern Louisiana University's College of Science and Technology honored its distinguished students at the college's annual honors convocation April 30. Robert Hudson of Baton Rouge was recognized as the Outstand Graduate in the Industrial Technology Associate Degree program.
3) COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY HONORS (Livingston) - Southeastern Louisiana University's College of Science and Technology honored its distinguished students at the college's annual honors convocation April 30. Receiving awards were, from left, Jesse Ardonne of Walker, Outstanding Graduating Senior in Engineering Technology; Charlene Pierce of Denham Springs, Outstanding Senior Award in Industrial Technology, Bachelor's Degree program; and Jerry Milne Jr. of Livingston, Outstanding Graduating Senior Award in Mathematics.

Michael Jeandron of Metairie received the Outstanding Graduating Senior Award in Physics.

Patrick Flowers, left, of Ponchatoula, received the Outstanding Graduating Senior Award in Chemistry, while Dan Powell of Hammond received one of the Outstanding Senior Awards in Biological Sciences.
