Southeastern LSBDC offers free class for business startups

     HAMMOND – The Louisiana Small Business Development Center at Southeastern Louisiana University will offer a seminar "Starting and Financing Your Business Idea" on Wednesday, May 30, from 9 a.m. to noon.

     Scheduled at the Southeast Louisiana Business Center in Hammond, 1514 Martens Dr., the class is free, but pre-registration is preferred.

     "This workshop is highly recommended for anyone interested in determining the feasibility of their business idea, those planning to start or who have recently started a small business, seeking a small business loan, or wanting to learn more about business planning," said Sandy Summers, assistant director of the Southeastern SBDC.

     Topics will include entrepreneurship readiness, writing a business plan, sources of funds for start-up and expansion, small business resources, and required licenses.
