     HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University's College of Business honored its top students at the college's annual honors convocation May 3.

     Award recipients included Katelyn Kelley of Covington, Distinguished Graduate in Accounting; Hailee Brasington of Reserve, Distinguished Graduate in Finance; Shelby Raquet of Covington, Distinguished Graduate in Management; Samantha Shelley of New Orleans, Distinguished Graduate in Business Administration; Enkhsanaa Erdene-Ochir of Hammond, Outstanding Academic Award in Economics; Jeremy Gill of Denham Springs, Distinguished Graduate in Supply Chain Management; and Alicen Holden of Denham Springs, Distinguished Graduate in Marketing.

     The college named David Winkler its 2012 Outstanding Alumnus. He received his bachelor's degree from Southeastern in 1978 and has been in the accounting industry for over 30 years. A founding member and managing partner of the CPA firm Faulk and Winkler of Baton Rouge, he pursued a career in accounting due to his fascination with numbers and the role they play in day-to-day life. He works with a variety of clients, including medical practices, engineering and distribution companies. He specializes in tax compliance and administrative issues affecting tax-qualified pension plans, including 401(k) plans and employer profit sharing plans.

     The college recognized inductees of the 13 Club and Beta Gamma Sigma honor societies and presented departmental awards and scholarships to:
