Southeastern's Division of Extended Studies announces fall 2012 non-credit courses

      HAMMOND –Southeastern Louisiana University's Division of Extended Studies announced its new Continuing U non-credit offerings for the fall semester.

     Career enrichment topics include administrative and business courses, computer and technology courses, digital media and design courses, skilled trades courses, and test preparation courses. Personal enrichment topics include art and music courses, and healthcare and fitness courses. Southeastern's non-credit on-line courses and Community Music School offering are also listed on the web site, www.southeastern.edu/es.

     "Southeastern has a wide variety of non-credit offerings to choose from and community members can view the Extended Studies Continuing U courses conveniently on-line," said Charlotte Collins, program manager. "Students can go on-line or call the Extended Studies office to register for courses."

     Courses new to Extended Studies this fall include the Art of Freelancing, Astrology and Symbolism, Bass Fishing for Women, Developing Digital Vacation Memories, Introduction to Judo, Makeup for Cinema, Microsoft Office Word Learning Series, Project Management Professional, and Voice Recording for Court Reporting. Southeastern faculty or qualified professionals teach every Southeastern non-credit course.

     Changes to existing non- credit courses includes Abode Photoshop for Photography, which is being redesigned to allow for more classroom instruction, and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Learning System (PHR/SPHR Test Preparation), which will have a new instructor.
