Southeastern Contemporary Art Gallery to host Student Art Exhibition

HAMMOND Students in Southeastern Louisiana University’s visual arts program will be exhibiting
their work March 8 through April 5 at the annual Student Fine Art Exhibition at the
Contemporary Art Gallery in East Strawberry Stadium.
The exhibition, which opens with a 5 p.m. reception March 8, will feature various
works and styles of art contributed by students in the Department of Fine and Performing
Arts.
Past exhibitions have received approximately 150 entries in the shows with most
artists submitting multiple works. This program is the second in the Gallery’s schedule
for the spring semester.
The exhibit is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday through
Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with extended hours until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, and from
8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
