Lane appointed executive director of international education group

HAMMOND Kenneth E. Lane, professor of educational leadership at Southeastern Louisiana University,
was named executive director of the International Academy of Educational Leaders by
its Board of Directors for a sixth consecutive three-year term.
The organization was formed in 1997 with the intent of improving the profession
of educational leadership through increased communication between practitioners and
professors of educational administration and leadership. The academy publishes an
online journal, “Contemporary Issues in Educational Leadership.”
In his position, Lane manages the general business of the organization, including
custody of records, coordinating meetings of the Board of Directors, and implementing
and managing the organization’s activities.
A resident of Covington, Lane is the director of Southeastern’s doctoral program
in educational leadership.
