Wade Miley meet and greet planned

HAMMOND – The Southeastern Louisiana University Alumni Association is hosting a meet and greet with former Lion's pitcher Wade Miley at the Houston Astros vs. Arizona Diamondbacks game in Houston on August 17.
The event is scheduled from 6 to 7 p.m. at Minute Maid Park in Houston prior to the game. Tickets are $40 and include seating in the club section and refreshments. Advance reservations are required.

Miley has seen a meteoric rise in fame since joining the majors this year. The left-hander from Loranger, La., was the Diamondbacks' lone All-Star representative, going 9-5 with a 3.04 ERA and has started in 14 of his 17 appearances this season. The southpaw has recorded 70 strikeouts in 100.2 innings pitched.
