Minority Leadership Day at Southeastern

Southeastern Louisiana University will be holding its annual Minority Leadership Day for high school minority students on February 27, 2008 from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM. The event will be a joint venture between the Office of Multicultural Affairs and the Office of Admissions, and is designed to attract those students that have the desire to become a leader, as well as those that are well on their way to being a leader in academics, athletics, and community service. There will be a series of workshops that will teach students valuable skills that can be used in be used in both an academic and social setting such as leadership skills, time management, and team building skills. Along with these skills, students will also receive information on university life such as applying to the university, a range of academic and social organizations that are available for students to join. There will also a motivational speaker that will be sure to embrace, inform, and inspire students to strive for greatness and not settle for mediocrity. Entertainment and food will be provided so students can enjoy the festivities. So register early to reserve your spot for this informative event!
