Directions to Southeastern Louisiana University

- I-10 West to I-55 North
- I-55 North to Highway 190, Exit 31 Sign reads: "Albany / Hammond"
- East (Right) on Hwy 190 toward Hammond for about two and a half miles. As you turn off the I-55 Exit Ramp onto Hwy 190, you will see to your right an Exxon Station, a Speedway Station, a Waffle House, and a Motel, in that order. Continue East on Hwy 190 (which is also West Thomas Street.) You will pass the following sites:
- Wal-Mart Supercenter on your right, across from West Side Plaza.
- A few blocks further there will be Town & Country Plaza on your left containing Winn Dixie Supermarket. On your right will be McDonalds, Wendy's, Cane's, and Taco Bell.
- You are nearing the intersection of W. Thomas Street and Morrison Blvd. To your right, on the (SW) corner of the intersection is a Chevron Station. There are sign markers for I-55, I-12, Hwy 51, and Hwy 190. Continue straight (east) on W. Thomas across Morrison Blvd.
- Just past the intersection is Seville Plaza on your right containing Albertson's Supermarket.
- Just a little further there is a fork where W. Thomas (Hwy 190) veers to the right and becomes W. Morris Street (which continues east as a one-way street.)
- Continue east on W. Morris (Hwy 190) past several blocks of residences.
- Just past the residential area is the First Baptist Church to your right, on the corner of W. Morris and S. Pine. There is a traffic light. (You should get into the leftmost lane as you will soon be turning left off W. Morris.
- Continue on for a few more blocks to Railroad Avenue (just before the railroad tracks.) There is a traffic light.
- North (Left) onto Railroad Avenue past the following sites:
- Past Brady's Restaurant (on your left between W. Morris and W. Thomas, downtown) GET INTO THE RIGHT LANE.
- Past the Post Office (on your left between W. Thomas and W. Charles, downtown.
- Past Citizen's Nat'l Bank (on your left, next block up from Post Office)
- Past Railroad Station (on your right, next block)
- Over the railroad tracks (another block further North)
- Past tennis courts (on your left, a couple of blocks North of railroad tracks)
- Just past the tennis courts, the street makes a sharp turn to the left and dead-ends into N. Oak street
- Right on N. Oak for about half a block to Western Avenue (there is a traffic light)
- Left on Western Avenue
- The following buildings are located on the right (north) side of Western Avenue:
- McClimans Hall (Mathematics - second floor; Computing Services - first floor)
- Campbell Hall (Special Education)
- The Music Building
- The Administration Building
- The College of Business
Note: Western Avenue is only one of many streets on the 300-acre campus on which is located more than 60 academic and administrative buildings, residence halls, and other sites. We chose it s our point of reference because it is centrally located and is the street where the main Administration Building is situated.
