WBRZ Doppler Radar -- Regional (Hammond / Baton Rouge) weather updates and Doppler Radar sponsored by WBRZ a Baton Rouge television station.

National Weather Service -- The primary source of weather data, forecasts and warnings for the United States and is the "sole United States official voice for issuing warnings during life threatening weather situations".

Louisiana Office of State Climatology -- Provides daily, weekly, and monthly climate summaries for the state, as well as links to additional weather information.

LSU Hurricane Center -- This site attempts to "advance the state-of-knowledge of hurricanes and their impacts on the natural, built, and human environments... and to assist the state, the nation, and the world in solving hurricane-related problems."

National Climatic Data Center Weather/Climate Events -- This site offers national climate and weather information for such parameters as temperature, precipitation, hurricane events, and snow extremes.

National Weather Service Natural Hazard Statistics -- Provides information and statistics on weather related hazards and includes the type and date of weather events, states impacted, number of deaths, and monetary damage.

Southern Regional Climate Center -- The Southern Regional Climate Center is one of six NOAA Regional Climate Centers administered by the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC). It is located at LSU and serves the six-state region that includes Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas. Its site includes current weather information, climate summaries, and a climate atlas.

Tropical Weather Data -- Ohio State University weather site provides "timely and useful graphical and textual weather data to the general public".

UM Weather -- Provides access to thousands of forecasts and images, sponsored by the Weather Underground at University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.

Offshore Weather Data-- This web page displays decoded current and past offshore (buoy, ship) observations. Data displayed includes sea-surface temperature, air temperature, winds, wave heights and periods, and sea-level pressure. Hurricane/Typhoon/Tropical cyclone-focused maps are also provided.

Weather talk from the Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command -- Connects to an online (Acrobat / Adobe based) pamphlet that provides the reader with a basic and brief overview of "major weather elements" and to provide a better understanding of weather mechanisms to enable safe planning of certain activities.

World Weather Information Service, Official Observations, Official Forecasts -- Sponsored by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), this site provides weather information and forecasts for cities around the world provided by official National Meteorological and Hydrometeorological Services.
