Team Louisiana Report and Census Estimates

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development recently released the final report from the group of scientists known as “Team Louisiana.” The report, entitled The Failure of the New Orleans Levee System During Hurricane Katrina, is available online here:

The U.S. Census Bureau recently released its Annual Population Estimates for Louisiana, which shows data up through July 2006. These are the first official estimates to show population changes at the parish level since hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Louisiana’s report, along with those of other states, can be found here:
