Stamp Prices Increase, Sales Tax Holiday May 24 & 25, Gasoline Price Information
The price of a first class postage stamp will increase from 41 to 42 cents on May 12, 2008. Other postage rates will also be rising. You can read about the increases here:

To encourage preparedness for the upcoming hurricane season, on May 24 and 25, 2008 Louisiana will have a sales tax holiday on the purchase of certain materials. For more information, see this press release from the Louisiana Department of Revenue:
