On Wednesday, February 20, 2008, Dr. Tom Fick of the Southeastern Department of English will lecture on “The Afro-Creole Tradition in Louisiana” at 1 p.m. on the third floor of Sims Memorial Library.  Professor Fick, an expert on Afro-Creole literature, will speak about the significance of the culture, history, and traditions in Louisiana.  This is a free event in honor of Black History Month.
