Library Database SciFinder Scholar Access Changes

SciFinder Scholar has moved to a web-based platform. Faculty and students will no longer download and install software to a personal computer, but will now log into SciFinder Scholar through the Sims Library list of databases. Access is available from both the campus network and from home.
Users will access SciFinder Scholar from the Library webpage:
Library Homepage > Find Articles and More > R-S > SciFinder Scholar
First time users of the new web-based product will need to create a SciFinder Username and Password, following the directions on the Library website. Each time they want to use SciFinder Scholar, they will log in with their SciFinder Username and Password.
If they are at a non-networked computer (e.g., Home PC), they will be asked to log into the library proxy server first. Their library Username is their W number and the Library PIN is their 6-digit birthdate (mmddyy). Then they will log in with their SciFinder Username and Password.
