The e-Duke Books Scholarly Collection includes perpetual access to over 100 new electronic books published by Duke University Press in the humanities and social sciences in 2012, and term access to over 1,400 backlist titles. The e-Duke Books Scholarly Collection is hosted on the ebrary® platform, and is cross-searchable with other ebrary content. The platform also includes 126 Choice Outstanding Academic Titles for 2011, from various publishers, purchased by Sims Memorial Library.

ebrary content can be read on home computers and multiple devices, including the Nook, iPad, iPhone, Kobo, Kindle (currently browser only), Android, and the Sony Reader.

Authorized users may read e-Duke Books Scholarly Collection content using any browser on a computer or mobile device. e-Duke titles cannot be downloaded to PCs or to mobile devices. Duke University Press allows users to print 10% of the book or an entire chapter, regardless of the number of pages. Duke does allow users to download a pdf image, subject to the same page restrictions as printing.
ebrary Choice titles (from publishers other than Duke University Press) may be downloaded and checked out for a period of 7 days (with automatic check in). Users will need to download Adobe Digital Editions to download ebrary titles; instructions (including information for Apple users) can be found at the ebrary support site: http://support.ebrary.com/kb/category/en/download/ Users can print up to 60 pages of a Choice ebook or an entire chapter regardless of the number of pages (per user session).
