Overview of the program
Southeastern Louisiana University is excited about the potential of Southeastern’s newest master’s degree program. The Louisiana Board of Regents approved a redesigned M. Ed. in Technology Leadership and it is administered by the Department of Educational Leadership and Technology within the College of Education. It should be apparent to everyone that technological changes drive society and technology is a major force throughout the world. The program is designed to address this rapid change by providing needed knowledge and skills for candidates enrolled in the program. Additionally, potential students may be interested in the Louisiana Department of Education’s approved technology certification programs.

Obtain Technology Facilitator Certification by taking the following:
- ETEC 644: Educational Software Development
- ETEC 650: Networking
- ETEC 660: Technology Leadership
Preparing for a job in the program
Those who successfully complete the 36-hour degree program including the ETEC 620, ETEC 650, and ETEC 660 classes will obtain their Technology Facilitator Certification.
Careers in the program
The educational technology professional seeks to promote active learning through various web platforms. The goal is to build problem solving and critical thinking skills and support writing and artistic endeavors. Classroom activities may include creating course websites, starting class blogs, implementing wikis for editing purposes and using online video websites or interactive whiteboard tools.
