Planned Giving
Welcome to the Friendship Heritage Society
Throughout its history, Southeastern Louisiana University has benefited from the generosity of many alumni and friends who have remembered the University through gifts in their wills or other forms of planned gifts. As a result, planned gifts have become an increasingly important source of strength and growth for Southeastern. Planned gifts provide funding for scholarships, research, capital improvements, professorships and general support. These resources not only help Southeastern reach out to more students, but also enable the University to provide the highest quality education possible.
The Friendship Heritage Society honors and recognizes those who have demonstrated their support of Southeastern by:
· Including Southeastern in their wills or charitable bequest.
· Naming Southeastern as owner and/or beneficiary of a life insurance policy.
· Establishing a charitable trust for the benefit of Southeastern.
· Naming Southeastern as a beneficiary in their retirement plan.
By including Southeastern in your financial and estate plans, you may increase your current income and reduce taxes, while providing support for areas of the University that are important to you. Planned giving allows people to make very meaningful legacy gifts as part of their estate plan.
