Alpha Phi Sigma (National Criminal Justice Honor Soceity)

Requirements for Membership: Minimum GPA of 3.0 cumulative, minimum GPA of 3.2 in criminal justice, minimum of 4 criminal justice courses
Amount of Dues: $40 one time national membership fee, $5 member to chapter
Description of Organization: The mission of Alpha Phi Sigma is to promote critical thinking, rigorous scholarship, and life-long learning; to elevate the ethical standards of the criminal justice professions and to sustain in the public mind the benefit and necessity of education and professional training.
Alpha Psi Omega

Requirememtns for Membership: Members must partcipate regularly in theatre activites at Southeastern, pay local and national dues, and maintain at least a 2.5 overall GPA.
Amount of Dues: $30 one time national membership fee, $5 per semester local dues
Description of Organization: The purpose of Alpha Psi Omega is to stimulate interest in theatre activities at Southeastern Louisiana University and to secure for the college all advantages provided by a large national society.
Beta Alpha Psi

Requirements for Membership: All accounting students with a minimum of a 3.0 overall GPA, 3.25 accounting GPA, and 6 hours or more of completed accounting courses numbered ACCT 221 and above are eligible for membership.

Amount of Dues: $90 for new members, $35 for returning members
Description of Organization: A national honors, professional, and service organization for accounting majors.
Beta Beta Beta Biological Sciences Honor Society

Requirements for Membership: A minimum GPA of 3.3 and have credit for at least 12 hours of biology courses
Meeting Information: Once a month at 4:00pm in the Biology Building Room 422
Amount of Dues: $50
Description of Organization: Beta Beta Beta seeks to encourage scholarly attainment in this field of learning by reserving its regular membership for those who achieve superior academic records and who indicate special aptitude for and major interest in the life sciences.
Chi Sigma Iota

Description of Organization: Chi Sigma Iota is the international honor society for students, professional counselors and counselor educators established at Ohio University in 1985. Our mission is to promote scholarship, reserach, professionalism, leadership and excellence in counseling, and to recognize high attainment in the pursuit of academic and clinical excellence in the profession of counseling.
Delta Omega Alpha

Requirements for Membership: Pre-Professional major with at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA and officers must retain a 3.0 GPA

Description of Organization: The organization shall be a non-secret, non-profit, education organization for students of SLU planning to pursue careers in health-related professions.
Delta Omicron

Amount of Dues: $70 ($40 chapter, $30 national)
Description of Organization: Members of Delta Omicron promote musical professionalism, serve others through music, and promote American music and composers and to encourage high scholastic acheivement and excellence in musical performance.
Gamma Beta Phi

Meeting Information: Alternate Tuesdays (12:30pm in Student Union Room 223) and Wednesdays (5:00pm in Student Union Theater).

Description of Organization: The Gamma Beta Phi Society is an honor and service organization for students in colleges and universities in the United States. It is non-secret, non-profit, and co-educational; and membership therein does not exclude a student from membership in any other organization.
Kappa Delta Pi

Description of Organization: International Honor Society in Education; require members to earn points from service activites to earn honor cords; participate in community service projects

Description of Organization: Kappa Kappa Psi is an organization operating exclusively in the field of the university bands to promote the existence and welfare of the bands, to honor outstanding band members, to stimulate campus leadership, to promote good music and worthwhile projects, and to provide a pleasant and helpful socail experience for all engaged in college band work.

Phi Beta Lambda

Requirements for Membership: open to all Business Majors
Description of Organization: The purpose of the organization is to provide opportunities for post-secondary and college students to develop vocational competencies for business, business technology, and communication. PBL is an integral part of the instructional program and promotes a sense of civic responsibility. The specific goals are to develop competent, aggressive business leadership; to strengthen the confidence of students in themselves and their work; to create more interest in and understanding of American business enterprise; to encourage scholarship and promote school loyalty; to assist students in the establishment of goals; and to facilitate the transition from school to work.
Phi Kappa Phi

Requirements for Membership: Second semester junior in the top 7.5% of class in his/her college or senior in the top 10% of class in his/her college, or grad student in the top 10% of all grad students at Southeastern Louisiana University.
Meeting Information: Two general membership meetings in October and March, held in the Student Union from 3:30-5:00pm.
Amount of Dues: $15 chapter, $30 national yearly
Description of Organization: One of the oldest and most prestigious multi-disciplinary honor societies in the US and Philippines.
Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia

Requirements for Membership: Candidates for membership must be male, must be a least a second semester freshman, must have an established collegiate cumulative GPA of 2.2, must be a full-time student unless a graduating senior and must have an abiding love for music. Non-music majors may join.
Meeting Information: Every Wednesday at 6pm in the Music Building Annex Room 163A
Amount of Dues: $125 per semester
Description of Organization: The object of this fraternity shall be for the development of the best and truest fraternal spirit, the mutual welfare and brotherhood of musical students, the advancement of music in America and a loyalty to the Alma Mater. Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia is nationally, a social music fraternity. Sinfonia is social not just for the sake of socialbility, but socialbity through music, thus allowing dual membership into a NIC organization as well as Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.

Description of Organization: National co-ed honor fraternity founded in 1916 in Pennsylvania and on Southeastern's campus in the fall 2002.
Psi Chi

Requirements for Membership: Completion of 3 semesters of college courses, completion of 9 semester hours of PSYC courses, rank in the top 35% of one's class, and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in both psychology classes and in cumulative grades
Meeting Information: Every 3rd Thursday of the month at 4:00pm in White Hall Room 222. Meetings held during Fall and Spring semesters are subject to change due to holiday breaks.
Amount of Dues: new member $35; current members $5 per semester
Description of Organization: Psi Chi is the National Honor Society in psychology. Becoming a member of Psi Chi will be valuable throughout your professional and educational careers. Psi Chi offers many opportunities in psychology research, national and local conventions, and many other valuable assests.
