Professional Development
This course will provide practical skills leading to include the creation of a resume and the posting of that resume to Louisiana Workforce Commission, to www.expresspros.com and www.indeed.com along with recommendations for additional online sites.
Interviewing skills will be defined by the instructor and role plays of proper and improper interviews will be held by class individuals.
Positive work ethics and corporate relationships will be identified and discussed.

Grantsmanship: Basic and Beyond
This course will provide the participant with a comprehensive understanding of when, how, and why a grant is appropriate for an organization as well as how to identify, define and develop grant proposals.
In-depth tips on grant research, how to collect, analyze and report grant data, where to find appropriate grant opportunities, and the principle steps of writing an exceptional grant will be explored.
In addition, developing the relationship with a potential grantor as well as the maintenance of that relationship will be addressed.
Effective grant budgeting, IRS tips, and evaluation information will also be provided within this course.
1 CEU Credit will be provided.

Business Enterprise Management
This course is a ten hour program focusing on the comprehension of business technologies and the building of corporate relationships.
The curriculum will bring the professional to a more advanced business level of corporate leadership. Individuals will fine tune their skills thereby enhancing and promoting corporate growth. Through this program professionals will become proficient in the sophisticated management of social and anti-social media and business relationship interfacing. Finally, professionals will refine their business knowledge regarding specific workplace skills to assist in the transference of these skills within the corporate environment.
The over arching goal of Business Enterprise Management is to enhance professionalism.
1 CEU Credit will be provided.

Project Management taught by Trey Miller
The goal of Project Management 101 is to prepare project managers and others planning on pursuing a career in project management with skills and tools to successfully plan, manage, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
The course is based on Project Management Institute's Project Management Body of Knowledge and highlights the five project management process groups (Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling, and Closing) and their interaction with the nine project management Knowledge Areas (Integration, Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Human Resources, Communications, Risk, and Procurement).
Areas of emphasis include:
Creating a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), scheduling, estimating, Earned Value Management, risk response planning, etc.Course also includes a discussion on project management certification.
