Creating a Financial Plan, Investing and Using Credit Wisely


     The National Endowment for Financial Education is sponsoring a financial literacy class that will be taught by Stella Helluin, director of Southeastern’s St. Tammany Center, located on the third floor of the St. Tammany Parish government complex, 21454 Koop Drive in Mandeville.  The class is designed to help individuals acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to take control of their financial destiny.

     “Concepts covered in the class will include creating an overall financial plan, investing, using credit wisely and protecting your assets,” said Helluin, who is also an accounting instructor at Southeastern.

     The class, which will be held March 4, 6, and 11 from 6-9 p.m., is open to junior high school students through senior citizens.  Click here for registration information.
