Description

Purpose and Scope:

  • Clerical duties as well as assist with student help desk calls

Responsibilities:

  • Answers phone calls in accordance to the university policy – provides information/assistance or routes caller to appropriate staff/faculty member
  • Takes phone or visitor messages and deliver to appropriate individual

Description

Purpose and Scope:

  • Assists the SPS Coordinator with office operations

Computer Labs – Lab Attendant

 

Description

Purpose and Scope:

  • Helping students with everyday academic challenges by making computers more approachable and easier for use
  • Service type of duty

Responsibilities:

  • Assists students in labs
  • Takes care of labs’ environment, as well as lab equipment
  • Observes and reports malfunctions and supply shortages
  • Helps Lab Coordinator with setting up schedules
  • Answers phone calls in accordance to the university policy – provides information/assistance or routes caller to appropriate staff member
  • Educates him/herself in Lab-related common knowledge concerning events, rules and regulations (keeping him/herself informed); educates him/herself in current  computer software packages ( knowing applications that are installed in labs)

Student Technology Liaisons-Student Affairs Career Development

 

Description

Purpose and Scope:

  • To assist the office of Career Services with web and graphic design, development, problem solving and maintenance and computer hardware and software management.

Responsibilities:

  • Changing, adding,  and maintaining web pages to keep information current
  • Supporting eRecruiting software by serving as a liaison for Career Services Staff and assisting with account issues

Description

Purpose and Scope:

  • To assist the Student Organizations with training in order for the web masters for the organizations to develop and maintain their own web pages as well as maintaining and keeping the organizations email accounts current.

Graduate Assistant - Director Internet Resources Center

 

Description

Purpose and Scope:

  • Assisting the Director’s works specifically by providing technical support for the operation of various equipment in the lab

Graduate Assistant - Educational Leadership

 

Description

Purpose and Scope:

  • To be a primary point of contact between faculty and professors of the new Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership program
  • Work in a capacity of a compressed video (CV) proctor for all compressed video classes between ULL and SELU

Responsibilities:

  • To assure that all CV equipment is energized and functioning within normal parameters
  • To troubleshoot and repair CV equipment and network connections in the event of connectivity failure with the remote site
  • To assure that CV conference rooms are kept neat and clean, and that the equipment is secured and de-energized between conferences
  • To monitor quizzes, assignments, and exams that are assigned via CV
  • To transport/ship materials between campuses participating in CV
