Group fitness classes are exercise put to music for a fun, team oriented approach to fitness led by our motivational instructors. These classes are a nice break from other modes of exercise, and for some, the exercise program that fits them best.

With a variety of classes and facility hours, there’s truly something for everyone. Our certified group fitness instructors will lead you safely and smoothly through the classes of your choice. So check out the fun of group fitness on our blog.

Tell me about PERSONAL TRAINING.

Personal training is one to one or small group instruction that incorporates goal setting and health education into challenging training sessions specifically designed for your individual needs. A personal trainer is there to instruct you on proper lifting technique on a variety of exercised and at the same time motivate you to achieve your fitness goals.

You should hire a personal trainer if:

  • You want a personalized workout that will be challenging and time efficient based on your individual fitness goals
  • You need someone who can provide you with health and fitness information to put you on the right track.
  • You need someone to motivate you and/or give you proper exercise instructions while at the same time making your exercise program fun!
  • Your current fitness routine is not providing you with results and you need a new program that will get you the results you want.
  • You’re training for a specific event and want to enhance your performance.

I think I'd like a massage. Tell me more about this service.

Recreational Sports and Wellness believes that therapeutic massage serves as a positive adjunct to the person's will to actively participate in health and wellness activities. Of the many benefits of a massage, both depression management and chronic pain reduction have been heavily researched. Massage is a fundamental part of your health. Expect your massage to be customized to your individual needs.

Recreational Sports and Wellness' Massage Services offers two comprehensive choices:

Pure Swedish.

A Swedish massage uses five styles of long, flowing strokes to massage.  Swedish massage has shown to be helpful in reducing pain, joint stiffness, and improving function in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee over a period of eight weeks.

Pure Deep Tissue.

Deep tissue massage is designed to relieve severe tension in the muscle and the connective tissue or fascia. This type of massage focuses on the muscles located below the surface of the top muscles. Deep tissue massage is often recommended for individuals who experience consistent pain, are involved in heavy physical activity (such as athletes), and patients who have sustained physical injury. It is not uncommon for receivers of deep tissue massage to have their pain replaced with a new muscle ache for a day or two. Deep tissue work varies greatly.
