This morning we submitted to Baton Rouge our plan to reduce state funds by $984,389 as Southeastern's part of the $22 million mid-year reduction to higher education that was announced late last week.
Our reduction plan includes the following:
$692,175 in salaries and related benefits associated with additional attrition (vacant positions). We will continue to closely monitor vacant positions and any requests to fill vacancies in order to ensure the additional attrition savings are achieved.
$292,214 through a combination of reductions in professional services and acquisitions.
As always, I will continue to update the campus with any new developments.
