December 28, 2009 - Mid-year budget cut
As I am sure you know by now, the State has recently announced a mid-year budget cut that will affect higher education, including Southeastern. We have learned that our part of the reduction will be nearly $3.8 million.
A mid-year reduction of this magnitude will require us to make some difficult and unpopular decisions. As in the past, we will continue to prioritize our core instructional mission, but this reduction, on top of other cuts already absorbed, will be felt across the entire institution.
