Arrest Made in Purse Snatching

An arrest has been made in the purse snatching case reported on campus on January 12, 2008.
An arrest has been made in the purse snatching reported to have occurred on campus on Saturday, January 12, 2008. The arrested suspect is not a student at Southeastern and confessed to being responsible for several car burglaries that also occurred on campus that day. The arrest was made without incident, as the subject's mother accompanied him to the University Police Station to turn himself in after seeing his photograph in the Hammond Daily Star newspaper. Two other subjects involved in the case, neither of whom are students at Southeastern, were identified, but are not in custody at this time. Arrest warrants are being sought and the incidents, including the car burglaries, are still under investigation.
