University Police Investigations, Intelligence, and Special Services

The University Police Department’s Investigations Division is responsible for criminal and administrative investigations involving the Southeastern Community.  Police Investigators/Detectives assigned to this division are on-call 24 hours and respond to all major crime scenes and any other investigations to which they are assigned.

Detectives report to the Assistant Director and dress in civilian clothing unless their assignment dictates otherwise.

Detectives work with our Uniform Patrol Division and other police agencies, sharing relevant information and providing assistance for the benefit of the University and surrounding community.  We are always willing to assist you with your concerns, and all reports made to the Investigations Division will be held in strictest confidence.  Please feel free to contact us with any information you may have about crimes occurring on campus or something you believe may help keep our community safe.  On regular business days between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. you can contact the Investigative Division at 985-549-5696 or 985-549-2009.  If you wish to contact us after office hours, phone 985-549-2222 or e-mail us at police@selu.edu.
