Safe Space Program

What is the Safe Space program?
At Southeastern Louisiana University we strive to create an environment of acceptance, support, and understanding for all students, including those who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning (LGBTQ). The Safe Space program helps us to achieve that goal by providing training and awareness on LGBTQ issues and offering "safe spaces" for LGBTQ students.
What is a "safe space"?
Faculty or staff who have completed a Safe Space training can choose to display a sticker on their office door indicating that they are an ally of the LGBTQ community and are welcoming and supportive of LGBTQ students.
Where are the safe spaces located?
