NSSE Administration and Sample
The most recent NSSE administration at Southeastern was during Spring 2010. Students received an electronic invitation to participate in the survey,with a link where students could complete the survey via the web. Follow-ups included e-mail reminders and hard copy surveys to random non-respondents
A random sample of 1,662 freshmen and 1,808 seniors was selected for administration. A total of 555 freshmen (33% response rate) and 719 seniors (40% response rate) completed the survey, for an overall response rate of 37%. This response rate is higher than the University of Louisiana system overall (27%), Masters Colleges and Universities, Larger Programs (31%), and SREB Four-Year 3 institutions (26%).
