Qualifications

Duties & Responsibilities
The Vice President reports directly to the President and is a member of the President’s Executive Council. The Vice President will be responsible for the overall leadership, strategy, implementation and management of all University private support activities. The Vice President oversees the staff within the Office of University Advancement, as well as the Alumni Director, and has supervisory responsibility over the areas of major, planned and annual giving; principal gifts; development communications; prospect management; gift administration; stewardship and special projects.
Salary
The appointment is a 12-month position and the salary is commensurate with background and experience.

Applicants must have at least four years of experience in providing computer support in a computing technology environment; a minimum of three years of experience as a Systems Administrator of a Linux/Unix computer system and/or network servers; experience in High Performance Computing, installing, administering, and supporting HPC clusters based on Linux, and downloading and compiling open source software. Provide installation and administrative support for the technology needs of the College, including but not limited to new equipment, student labs, servers, and high performance computer clusters and networks. Provide support and problem solving necessary to maintain efficient performance level of systems running Linux, Solaris, or AIX as well as network operating systems such as Microsoft Windows Server. Support includes installation of upgrades/patches, monitoring of security creation and maintenance of user accounts, maintenance of system logs, assess permissions, print queues, and modifications necessary to maintain the communications environment in the appropriate operating system. Responsible for the installation, monitoring, and maintenance of routers, firewalls, and switches as needed.

The Director of University Housing is a full-time professional staff member responsible for the administration and supervision of all facilities, operations, personnel management, budgets, conferences, and resident life programs. University Housing consists of approximately 2,300 beds in 10 resident halls, an apartment complex, and a community of organizational houses, with an annual budget of $10 million. The Director reports to the director of Auxiliary Services.
