Mileage @ 52¢ per mile (If candidate is driving in lieu of flying, documentation is required to show that this method is the most economical.  If not the most economical, then candidate may only be reimbursed up to the state rate airfare or lowest logical airfare amount).

Airfare (State Rate or Lowest Logical) Search Committee contact should advise candidate of what their maximum allowable rate is for reimbursement prior to candidate making their arrangements.

Parking (Receipt Required)

Shuttle/Taxi (Receipt Required) Allowable for transportation from Airport to Hammond and return only.

Meals (Per Diem, per allowable schedule for Hammond) $8 Breakfast, $12 Lunch, $18 Dinner

Rental Car (Only allowed with prior approval from the University President and documentation as most economical means of transportation)

Lodging* State Rate maximum in Hammond $70/night – other rates may be available outside of the Hammond area.  (A receipt showing a $0 balance will be required for reimbursement and should be obtained when checking out of the hotel.)

*Note:  When scheduling accommodations with local hotels, you should ask if they can provide a room at the “state rate” of $70 per night.  Advise them that you are traveling on official state business for Southeastern Louisiana University.  If you are unable to book a room at this rate, it is advised that you contact the search committee chairperson to discuss other options.  A list of local hotels, and their telephone numbers, is provided below.
