Office of the Executive Assistant to the President
About the Executive Assistant to the President
The executive assistant to the president of Southeastern Louisiana University is charged with coordinating a myriad of projects designed to enhance the university’s public policy, public information and public relations initiatives.
As a member of the president’s senior staff, Erin Cowser serves as legislative liaison on behalf of the university and assists with procedural and operational issues. She assists the president with management of the executive office and interfaces with the university’s various units, as well as with both private and public agencies. Her duties include the development and implementation of the university’s strategic marketing plan and directing the operation of a multi-faceted Office of Public Information in creating and maintaining a favorable public image for the president and the university.
Dedicated to helping the university realize its mission of leading the educational, economic, and cultural development of southeast Louisiana, the executive assistant to the president serves as an ambassador of the university. Special projects cross the spectrum of the university’s composition, ranging from those working with students, potential students, faculty and staff to those coordinated in conjunction with athletics, alumni and community partners at-large. Her office staff and various committee members from across campus assist with these endeavors.
