Disability Services Staff
Kay Harrison Maurin, Director
Ms. Maurin is the Director of Disability Services. She is a National Certified Counselor and holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Education in Counseling from Southeastern Louisiana University. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in Higher Education at Louisiana State University. She is a member of the Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD) and the Louisiana Association of College and University Student Personnel Administrators (LACUSPA).
Angela James, Coordinator
Ms. James joined the Office of Disability Services in the Spring of 2008 as office Coordinator. She is a National Certified Counselor, holds a Master of Education in Counseling with an emphasis in Student Affair and a Bechelor of Arts in family and Consumer Science from Southeastern Louisiana Univeristy. Ms. James has extensive experience working in student affairs and with students with disability .
Cecelia L. Palumbo, Administrative Assistant
Ms. Palumbo has worked in the Office of Disability Services since 1998 and has extensive experience in the field of Disability Services.
Mireya Brocatto, Graduate Assistant
Ms. Brocatto holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Riverside, and is currently pursuing a Master of Education in Counseling Education with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from Southeastern Louisiana University. She is a current member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapist (AAMFT), Louisiana Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (LAMFT), and Chi Sigma Iota (CSI), and .
Cassandra Arnold, Student Worker
Ms. Arnold is a senior pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in Vocal perfomance. She has been with the Office of Disability Services since June 2005.
Jean Jordan, Student Worker
Ms. Jordan is a senior pursuing her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and minoring in French with a concentration in language and literature. She looks forward to her upcoming graduation from Southeastern in May 2008.
Landon Tims, Student Worker
Mr. Tims is pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and minoring in Theater Arts. He looks forward to graduating from Southeastern in December 2008.
Karen Whittington, Student Worker
Ms. Whittington is a senior persuing her Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resources Management. She looks forward to graduating from Southeastern in December 2008.
