Each fall the Center for Faculty Excellence, in conjunction with the Office of the Provost, hosts a New Faculty Orientation. This orientation serves as both a welcome to our family and an introduction to the teaching culture at Southeastern. Activities provide interaction with both new and veteran faculty, specifics on campus policies, and answers to general questions such as “Who are Southeastern students?” and “What is expected in the classroom?” Follow-up sessions throughout the academic year allow for open exchange of ideas, suggestions, and questions about teaching and learning at Southeastern.
The Center for Faculty Excellence has developed an Online version of the New Faculty Orientation in Blackboard and you are invited to attend.

at the Blackboard site, click the Login button
- Enter
the username: -- faculty and the password --newfac,
then click the Login button.
- Once you enter Blackboard, click the New Faculty Orientation link in the "My Courses" area.
- After
you review the materials on the New Faculty Orientation site, please fill
out the web form -- Acknowledgement.
